Prepped is a trade name of Scouting Ledger LLC ("we"). This page says, in plain language, what we keep, what we never do, and how to delete it all.
What we store
- Your email address, to sign you in and send your briefs.
- Where you work, if you tell us when you sign up. It's optional.
- Your saved links and screenshots, and their summaries. Screenshots are deleted once the brief they're in goes out; the summaries and links stay in your account.
- Your LinkedIn export and what we work out from it. From your connections file: each connection's name, profile link, email (if LinkedIn includes it), company, title and the date you connected. From your messages file: only the date you last messaged each person. We never keep message text. From those we derive labels for each person and company (sector, company type, seniority, function and how recently you've been in touch).
- What you set up in Prepped: groups, reminders, label changes, and your brief days.
- The emails we send you, so we can show what went out and not send it twice.
- Billing details from Stripe if you subscribe: your Stripe customer ID, your plan and your subscription status. Card numbers stay with Stripe; we never see them.
- Sign-in sessions: one cookie that keeps you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't track whether you open our emails or click their links.
Company descriptions and labels (what a company does, its sector and type) are general facts about companies and are shared across accounts. They never say who knows whom.
What we never do
- Look at individual networks. Your map is yours; our admin pages show account and billing details only.
- Sell or rent your data, or share it for advertising.
- Scrape LinkedIn. The market map uses only the export you download and upload yourself.
- Train AI models on your data. We use Anthropic's commercial API, whose terms don't let Anthropic train its models on what we send.
Who processes it for us
These companies handle data on our behalf, only to run Prepped:
- Render hosts the app and its database in the United States.
- Postmark sends our emails.
- Anthropic writes the summaries and sorts companies and titles into labels.
- Stripe takes payments for Plus and Pro.
- Sentry receives error reports when something breaks, so we can fix it.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
We keep your data while you have an account. Delete it in one click from Settings ("Delete my account and data"): your account and everything in it are deleted right away, and any copy left in backups is gone within 30 days. Stripe keeps its own payment records as the law requires.
You can unsubscribe from Moose in the Morning with the link in any brief, or pause it in Settings, without deleting your account.
